Welcome to Peter Jay's Studio

Second Generation of Giocoso Strings

I am so thrilled to be working with you and your child this season. I truly believe that music is the answer to healing, growth, life lessons, and discipline. Music is a gift that your child will take with them for the rest of their lives, and it is my job as a teacher to ensure that, through learning and fostering a love for music, your child will have fond memories to look back on for years to come.

In my studio, I like to focus on musicality and playing music with feeling. I talk a lot about the fluidity of the right hand to gain a better tone and a soaring sound. My favorite classical composer is Beethoven and my favorite violinist is Isaac Stern.

Final Recital!

Hello Everyone!

Our Spring Recital for the year is going to be on May 17th, 2024 at 7PM at the Liquid Church!

For this recital, all students must be dressed in concert dress. Students should not be in shorts and a t-shirt. (If you could wear it to a school orchestra concert, the outfit is acceptable.)

I have handed out sheet music for Irish Legend to all of my more advanced students. I would like for us to play one number together as a studio, and I have invited my PULSE String Company from North Jersey to come down and join us for that one number.

I am so excited and looking forward to having the kids showcase what they've been working on the past couple of months. It's going to be a great recital.

Any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to call me!
