Welcome To Giocoso String Program

Celebrating

 YEARS

1997-2023

Timothy Durbin and Patricia Licetti opened the Giocoso String Program at The Princeton Baptist Church on September 28, 1997. We were located there until 2012 when we moved to The Princeton Meadow  Church. We survived Co-Vid and the Church closing and once again moved to our current location –  sharing an Office Suite with Lucid Technologies at 231 Clarksville Rd. Suite 4B West Windsor, N.J.  We love going to perform at Community Functions.

We are always looking for wonderful venues to share Music with others!

You are cordially invited to our

CELEBRATION CONCERT

Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 4 pm

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church West Windsor, N.J.

Reception in Fellowship Hall immediately after the Concert.

Any alumni are welcomed to RSVP and bring their violins and play with us!

Our music school teaches using the best repertoire available, in the happiest environment, holding our students to the highest musical standards. For the youngest violin/viola students, we use the Suzuki Music Method. For our older students (9 years old through High School), we supplement with scales, etudes, theory exercises, and sight-reading.

The Suzuki Music Method was founded in 1947 by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki of Matsumoto, Japan. Also called the “Mother Tongue Method” or Talent Education, it is based on the simple principle that all children can learn to speak their native language at a very high level.

The goal of the Giocoso String Program is Dr. Suzuki’s goal for all children everywhere: “to develop loving, sensitive, well rounded human beings, with beautiful hearts through the study & performance of music.”
